My favorite music artist

Alex Anwandter
Hi!! This week I'm going to talk about my favorite music artist. The last week I mentioned one of mine, Lorde, but I think we need to support our's nationals artist so the artist I'm going to talk about is Alex Anwandter.
Alex started as the vocalist of the band “Teleradio Donoso” they play more like an indie rock sound, which I like, but he leaves this band and started as a solo artist with his project “Odisea”; In this album he was a little more pop maybe trying to find his sound.  I knew Alex when he was a consolidated solo artist with the albums “Rebeldes” and “Amiga”, they have this catchy pop rock beat and the lyrics talk about different issues. The lyrics of “Como Puedes Vivir Contigo Mismo” and the music video was to honour Daniel Zamudio, other song we can talk about is “Cordillera” which is a critic to the state of Chile, more to the conservative party.
Scene of "Como Puedes Vivir Contigo Mismo", is a reference to
the documental "Paris is Burning" that portray the ballroom scene
in the 80's-90's
His last album “Latinoamericana” was nominated to a Latin Grammy for best alternative album, in this he criticized the different governments around latin america.
The first time I see him was in the Lollapalooza 2017, then in 2018 I go to every concert he makes, especially in Blondie, my favorite club. I really like him because the music he makes is a political statement and he is not afraid of it.
Thanks for reading!

I don't regreet it

As child, I wanted to become a veterinarian. My mother and I used to feed animals in the street and I wanted to help them. In my home I take cre of my pets, cure their injuries and everything. When I started to studied at Instituto Nacional, I feel the social pressure "Why do you want to become a vet?" "Why don't studied medicine?", so I changed my mind because of this, and forgot my childish dream. In 11th grade I had a vocational crisis, the ranking and nem didn't help me. So I went to vocational fairs, talks and everything that helped me to decided my future profession. I like the health area, my options  where dentistry and pharmacy. I decided to studied pharmacy because of my chemistry teacher, when I heard him talking about his experience in the university I felt completely different when I heard a dentistry talk. When I decided to apply to the university my only opcion was chemisty and pharmacy and I don't regreet it. I feel comfortable in thi...

A country I would like to visit

Hi everyone! This post is about a country I would like to visit, this is a very hard topic for me because there's so many places to visit! I would really like to visit New York, because it was the birthplace of the ballroom culture and the LGBTQ+ activism, I think we need to know our history so for me this an important place to visit and experience. I have to explain myself for those who don't know about ballroom, the ballroom is a place where people reunite and enjoy who they are; in the 80's and 90's this place was exclusive for Afro american and Latin people who identify as LGBTQ+, because it was a response to the discrimination they had to deal every day. In there people compete in different categories like runway or vogue, in June take place this big ball called " the latex ball " and I wanna be there one day. That's not the only thing I want to do in New York, every people who travels there knows they have to visit Central Park, Broadway, ...

Some Reflections.

I think this is a good year to me, at this point. Enter to college was a big achieve to me and for my entire family, because I'm the first to enter. I meet a lot of wonderful people here, but I still missing my old friend and classmates. For me, the adaptation to university life wasn't a problem, even the strike and the return to classes didn't affect to me like my friends, maybe the fact of being used to be in strike helped me.  One of the subject I hate the most is calculus, I don’t know why but I never was good at math’s, I never understand what the professor explains, this year has been easier thanks to the professor I can understand the most of what explain.  Another thing I love this year was the parties, sorry but I have to say it. My old friends are always inviting me to one, and my actual friends the same or we go to the club to dance and drink something. At the end of the day I have a little time to relax from my responsibilities.  Thanks!!
