TV shows and Series

I'm a huge fan of TV shows and series. Since I have Netflix I didn't stop watching series, I like series about drama or science fiction, and if it's good I watch it until the end. But in general I see all kind of genre.

Now I'm watching two series, the first one is The Handmaid's Tale, Season 2. This series is about a distopic United States, where a religious group take the goberment and submit the women, take away their rights and force the fertile ones to sexual and child-bearing servitud. I like this series because touch issues like feminism, gender equality, and how an "extremist interpretation" of the bible can be dangerous. I really recommend this serie, I watch it every thursday online, because is a Hulu production and is not in Netflix. Or the other thing is read the book, the series is based in a Margaret Antwood novel with the same title, I also enjoyed it because when I see the first season  I couldn't wait for the second season, so I ran to a book store.
The other series I'm watching is a reality show that's very popular in United States. It's Rupaul's Drag Race, this tv show put fourteen drag queens (in short term a drag queen is a men who dress as a girl to perform) to compete for be the next drag superstar. The challenges are so diferent in every episode, like acting, comedy, desing, etc. The tv host is Rupaul, a famous drag queen in USA. I like this show because drag is a form of art, not all queens are looking for a girl ilusion, they break the gender stereotypes, and the show offers a plataform to the LGBT+ community to express itself. The show is so popular that already have ten regular seasons and three all stars. I religiously watch it every thursday by streaming in the page of VH1 USA.

Well that's all, I hope you like it.

I don't regreet it

As child, I wanted to become a veterinarian. My mother and I used to feed animals in the street and I wanted to help them. In my home I take cre of my pets, cure their injuries and everything. When I started to studied at Instituto Nacional, I feel the social pressure "Why do you want to become a vet?" "Why don't studied medicine?", so I changed my mind because of this, and forgot my childish dream. In 11th grade I had a vocational crisis, the ranking and nem didn't help me. So I went to vocational fairs, talks and everything that helped me to decided my future profession. I like the health area, my options  where dentistry and pharmacy. I decided to studied pharmacy because of my chemistry teacher, when I heard him talking about his experience in the university I felt completely different when I heard a dentistry talk. When I decided to apply to the university my only opcion was chemisty and pharmacy and I don't regreet it. I feel comfortable in thi...

A country I would like to visit

Hi everyone! This post is about a country I would like to visit, this is a very hard topic for me because there's so many places to visit! I would really like to visit New York, because it was the birthplace of the ballroom culture and the LGBTQ+ activism, I think we need to know our history so for me this an important place to visit and experience. I have to explain myself for those who don't know about ballroom, the ballroom is a place where people reunite and enjoy who they are; in the 80's and 90's this place was exclusive for Afro american and Latin people who identify as LGBTQ+, because it was a response to the discrimination they had to deal every day. In there people compete in different categories like runway or vogue, in June take place this big ball called " the latex ball " and I wanna be there one day. That's not the only thing I want to do in New York, every people who travels there knows they have to visit Central Park, Broadway, ...

Some Reflections.

I think this is a good year to me, at this point. Enter to college was a big achieve to me and for my entire family, because I'm the first to enter. I meet a lot of wonderful people here, but I still missing my old friend and classmates. For me, the adaptation to university life wasn't a problem, even the strike and the return to classes didn't affect to me like my friends, maybe the fact of being used to be in strike helped me.  One of the subject I hate the most is calculus, I don’t know why but I never was good at math’s, I never understand what the professor explains, this year has been easier thanks to the professor I can understand the most of what explain.  Another thing I love this year was the parties, sorry but I have to say it. My old friends are always inviting me to one, and my actual friends the same or we go to the club to dance and drink something. At the end of the day I have a little time to relax from my responsibilities.  Thanks!!
